The Carefree Weekend
Arrive anytime on Friday or Saturday. Terms are from Friday dinner to Sunday luncheon OR Saturday dinner to Monday breakfast.
The terms quoted are per person and are inclusive of accommodation, full English breakfast and a Table d'hote dinner on both days. On Sunday, with the exception of Sunday 2nd March - Mothering Sunday - luncheon is also included to complete the weekend.

To Make Your Stay More Comfortable
As one would expect from a hotel of this quality all rooms have private bathroom and toilet en suite and all are tastefully furnished and individually designed in keeping with the hotel's character. You may choose to select dinner, room and English Breakfast or room and English Breakfast only. If dinner is included in your terms you may exchange it for luncheon only on that day. The tariff above indicates the categories of accommodation available and also shows the seasonal variations in rates.
Of Special Interest to Families
These terms are applicable to children when sharing parents' accommodation:
Children under 3 years - No charge
Children 3 - 8 years inclusive - 25% of adult rate
Children 9 - 15 years inclusive - 50% of adult rate
Children over 15 years - 75% of adult rate
Children occupying adult accommodation - full rate
An automatic baby listening service is available, and we do all we can to help with children's needs.
Value Added Tax
All prices quoted in this tariff are per person per day with the exception of 'The Carefree Weekend' and are inclusive of Value Added Tax at the current rate of 17.5%. Any variation in the rate of V.A.T. will automatically cause an adjustment to this tariff.
Reservations
A deposit of £ 75.00 per person is requested with your confirmation in writing. Rooms are offered subject to still being available on receipt of your acceptance. Reservations commence at 2.00pm on the day of arrival. To facilitate the preparation of rooms for new arrivals, guests are requested to vacate their bedrooms by 11.00am on the morning of departure.
Cancelled Bookings
Guests are asked to appreciate that reservations are made on the assumption that if a booking is cancelled the hotel does not have to suffer the loss. The hotel will endeavour to re-let the accommodation but if not successful the hotel will seek to recover its loss. We therefore advise our guests to consider the benefit of a Holiday Cancellation Insurance Policy and we suggest that the sum insured should represent the total cost of the holiday exclusive of Value Added Tax.
Cheques & Credit Cards
The reception office will cash all Travellers' Cheques and arrange for the changing of most foreign currency. Personal cheques will be cashed at the management's discretion and should be made payable to 'Hotel Riviera Limited'. The Hotel Riviera will be pleased to accept either American Express, Diners Club, Switch/Maestro, Mastercard, Solo or Visa Card as a method of payment for accounts.
Parking
Parking is available at the rear of the hotel or at a nearby car park. Alternatively, covered garages are available at the hotel at £5.00 per day.
Hotel Chauffeur
The hotel car and Chauffeur is available to our clients and this service may be of particular interest to guests arriving by rail or air. A competitive charge is made for this exclusive service.
Valuables
The Management regrets that responsibility cannot be undertaken for the loss or damage to any article or articles of value unless they are deposited at the reception office for safe custody and an official receipt obtained.
Night Porter
The Night Porter is available throughout the night and can supply alcoholic beverages should guests require a drink after licensing hours. He can also provide a limited range of light refreshments. The Night Porter will also be pleased to offer a shoe cleaning service.
Facsimile Service

Dogs
Small dogs may be accepted in certain rooms at the discretion of the Management at £10.00 per day to include one meal, but are not allowed in public rooms.
Room Service
Early morning pot of Tea or Coffee £3.00 per person. A 24 hour Room service is also available on request subject to a 20% service charge.
Television and Radio
For your additional entertainment the Hotel Riviera has incorporated with your television set a Video Channel enabling you to have the opportunity to watch major feature films in the privacy and comfort of your hotel room. The radio is operated by a switch at your bedside or alternatively via your television set. There are three local stations offering reception of BBC radio 2, 3 and 4.
Laundry and Dry Cleaning
These services can be arranged through the Housekeeper.
Doctor
Medical attention can be arranged in an emergency by informing Reception. In the event of an emergency at night, the Night Porter may be contacted by telephone from your hotel bedroom, who will immediately notify the duty doctor.
Fire Safety
The hotel is fitted with the latest addressable fire alarm system. Please make yourself aware of the fire exits and emergency procedures which are displayed in your room.
Smoking Policy
The Hotel Riviera operates a smoke-free policy throughout the building.

The Restaurant is open to non-residents and the following prices are applicable:
Continental Breakfast - £12.50, Traditional English Breakfast - £16.00, Table d'hote Luncheon - £26.00, 6 course Table d'hote Dinner - £37.00.
An extensive á la Carte menu is also available and those residents who may wish to dine from this menu and whose terms already include Dinner, will receive an allowance of £15.00 per person.
The Management reserves the right to alter this tariff without prior notification, and regrets that no allowance can be made for temporary absence or meals not taken.
